Horsman & Horseman One Name Study
Sir Thomas Horsman
1536 - 1610 (~ 74 years)-
Name Thomas Horsman Title Sir Born C.1536 [1] Gender Male Medal / Honour 1604 [2] Knighthood Monument Burton Pedwardine Church [3] Research Notes - Much of the early documentation about Sir Thomas suggests that he was buried at Burton Pedwardine.
The inscription on his monument gives his date of death as 26 November 1610.
However in the Burial Records of London St Mary Le Strand, there is a burial record for Sir Thomas Horsman, Knight, on 27 November 1610. Whilst the records are for the parish of St Mary Le Strand, it would appear that all services took place at the Savoy Chapel, and that is most likely where he was buried. His will stated that a monument should be erected in his memory.
